The Gravy Report

At the Insane Can Blog we love all of our fellow cooks.  Even the ones not smart enough to cook on Gateway Drums!  As a service to all of you out there sparking it up every Saturday on the competition trail, we decided to start The Gravy Report.  Biscuits and Gravy are important, damn important.  We want to arm our fellow cooks with the most up to date information on what each competition is serving so you know if the B&G is bueno or a no go!  Enjoy!

  1. I have been trying to join the blog, but I can’t connect. I keep getting an error that the address is not correct. Can you offer me some assistance. I saw the drum smokers in Frisco Colorado two weekends ago and I’m very interested in learning more information about them and how to properly cook on it. Thank you!

  2. I am interested in the Gateway Drum Smoker. Can U share some insight as to when U would use the following accessories that are offered for sale on the website. The heat diffuser plate and the rib hanger insert. Thanks, Jerry

  3. Jerry, you would use the heat deflector when you want to slow things down a bit, or avoid cooking over a direct flame. The rib hanger is great when you want to cook more than a couple of racks of ribs. It is also great for cooking half chickens!
